HAT CREEK (CA), LASSEN NF - FS, CA

Description:

Located 1 mile west of the town of Old Station, and 12 miles east of the NW entrance to Lassen Volcanic NP. Campground is situated in a mixed coniferous forest, adjacent to Hat Creek. Elevation is 4,390 feet. Temperatures May through June are 40-80 degrees; July through August 45-90 degrees. Stream fishing nearby with trophy trout. Popular activities include hiking, picnicking, sightseeing, caving, hunting and fishing.

Alerts and Important Information

These are group sites, available by reservation only. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. No all-terrain vehicles or off-road vehicles may be operated within campground. There are 163 first come-first served individual drive-in campground sites, as well as 16 walk-in tent sutes, available in the Hat Creek Recreation Area.
