The Law Enforcement Information Sharing Program (LEISP) is the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) commitment to transform the way it shares law enforcement information with state, local, tribal and other federal law enforcement and homeland security partners. The Department’s objective is to share information routinely across jurisdictional boundaries to prevent terrorism, and to systematically improve the investigation and prosecution of criminal activity. To achieve this objective, DOJ will put the right information into the hands of criminal investigators and analysts, whether they are on the street, in a command post, or working a task force.
