Description:

Located 14 miles outside the town of Chester, CA, on Hwy 36/Hwy 89 (1 1/2 miles west of Hwy 32 turnoff). Mixed coniferous forest. Vault toilets, limited parking. Hiking, stream fishing. For campsite information please call (530)258-2141. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. If available, you may reserve both "Rainbow" and "Trout" group sites together (sites 31-51) to form one large group site capable of accomodating 21 camping units. Golden Age/Access discounts do not apply to group sites. The "Trout" group site is suitable for up to 7 camping units. The "Rainbow" group site is suitable for up to 14 camping units.

* Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 day minimum holiday weekend stay. * Reservations are taken from 5/28/04 through 9/5/04; sites may be available on a first come - first served basis outside the reservation season. No ATV's or ORV's may be operated in the campground.

From the town of Chester, take Hwy 36 west, 14 miles. The campground is located 1 1/2 miles past the Hwy 32 turnoff on the right. Group Loop gate is directly behind the campground fee station.
