The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) and China's National Development Reform Commission (NDRC) will hold this forum in order to discuss policy issues that are central to entrepreneurship and venture capital in China and are relevant to U.S. interests. On January 23, the DOC will host a series of government-to-government meetings that will kick off the Forum. On January 24, George Mason University will host meetings through which U.S. businesses, financiers, and institutions with interest in China will be afforded a unique opportunity to meet NDRC officials and to hear directly about venture capital, financing and investment policy in China. They will also have an opportunity to learn about Chinese emerging enterprises, to understand competitive risks in China, and identify potential investment targets for U.S. companies.
