Congresswoman Tsongas to Hold Telephone Town Hall Meeting This Thursday

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Niki Tsongas announced today that she will be hosting a telephone town hall meeting on Thursday, January 15th at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the economic stimulus package that Congress is working on, the state of the economy, as well as other issues that may be on the minds of Fifth District residents.  The telephone town hall will be similar to traditional town hall meetings in which participants ask questions and discuss current events directly with Congresswoman Tsongas, except it will take place over the telephone and people can participate from the convenience of their homes.

"I am always looking for new ways to stay in close contact with Fifth District residents while I am in Washington, DC, so that people can easily share their opinions and ideas with me," said Congresswoman Tsongas.  "That is why I am hosting this Fifth District telephone town hall meeting next Thursday at 7:00 p.m."

"Fifth District residents can participate by simply picking up the phone and talking to me about legislation Congress is considering and happenings in their communities. If you would like to ask me a question or hear what is on the minds of your neighbors, I invite you to take part in the telephone town hall," Tsongas concluded.

Anyone interested in participating in Congresswoman Tsongas' telephone town hall meeting should call 877-229-8493 and enter 13394 as the conference access code, next Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
