NTSB SENDS GO-TEAM TO INVESTIGATE LEAR JET CRASH IN SOUTH DAKOTA



 
 The National Transportation Safety Board has launched a team to investigate the crash of a Learjet (N47BA) near Mina, South Dakota that killed two pilots and three passengers.  The team will leave by government aircraft from National Airport at approximately 4:30 p.m.

 Mr. Robert Benzon is the Investigator-in-Charge of the team, which is made up of investigators from the Board's Washington, D.C. headquarters and its Chicago regional office.  Vice Chairman Robert T. Francis will accompany the team and serve as principal spokesperson for the investigation while on scene.
Paul Schlamm will be the press officer.

Information on how the team can be reached in South Dakota will be released when available.
