NTSB SENDS TEAM TO INVESTIGATE BUS CRASH IN GEORGIA


The National Transportation Safety Board has dispatched a Go Team to the site of a motorcoach accident in Atlanta, Georgia this morning. Preliminary reports from local law enforcement authorities say that 6 passengers died and others are seriously injured.

NTSB investigator Robert Accetta has been designated Investigator-in-Charge of the 7-member team. NTSB Member Kitty Higgins will accompany the team and serve as principal spokesperson for the on-scene investigation. Paul Schlamm is the press officer joining the team.

The NTSB team will arrive at the accident site later today. Once in Georgia, Mr. Schlamm can be reached on his cell phone at 202-557-1350.
