NTSB LAUNCHES TEAM TO INVESTIGATE CRJ CRASH IN JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI
The National Transportation Safety Board has launched a Go Team to investigate the crash of a CRJ-2 aircraft, a regional jet, in Jefferson City, Missouri last night.
At 10:13 p.m. CDT, Northwest Pinnacle flight 3701 (N8396A), on a positioning flight crashed in a residential area of Jefferson City, Missouri. According to reports received by the Safety Board the two crew members on board the aircraft were killed in the crash.
Lorenda Ward is the Investigator-in-Charge of the investigation. A team of 9 investigators accompanies her. Also accompanying the team is NTSB Member Carol Carmody who will serve as the principal spokesperson for the on-scene portion of the investigation. Terry Williams is the NTSB press officer, and a member of the Board's Office of Transportation Disaster Assistance will provide logistical and family affairs support.
