NTSB BOARD MEETING ON APRIL 3 TO CONSIDER FINAL REPORT ON 3-TRAIN COLLISION IN BRYAN, OHIO THAT KILLED 2 CREWMEN



The National Transportation Safety Board holds a public Board meeting Tuesday, April 3 at 9:30 a.m., at its Board Room and Conference Center, 426 L'Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, D.C. There is one item on the agenda:

On January 17, 1999, near Bryan, Ohio, three Conrail freight trains were involved in a collision. One train struck the back of another, and the subsequent derailed wreckage fouled an adjacent track upon which a third train was passing. Two crewmen on the first striking train were killed, and damage was estimated at more than $5 million.
