JUNE 2002 COLLISION OF MOTORCOACH AND TRUCK IN LORRAINE, TEXAS WILL BE THE SUBJECT OF NTSB BOARD MEETING
Washington, D.C. -- The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a public
board meeting on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. in its Board Room
and Conference Center, 429 LEnfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, DC There is
one item on the agenda:
On June 9, 2002 near Lorraine, Texas, a Greyhound motorcoach occupied by a driver and 37 passengers struck the rear of a truck tractor-semitrailer as the truck was entering Interstate 20 from a picnic area. Three people were killed in the accident. Safety issues to be discussed include the operational safety of and management oversight for new entrant motor carriers.
