The final report of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on its investigation into the fatal crash of Korean Air (KAL) flight 801, was presented at the Board meeting on November 2, 1999. Flight 801 crashed into a hillside while attempting to land at Won Pat International Airport. There were 254 passengers and crew aboard the aircraft; 228 lost their lives.
As part of its investigation, the NTSB held a public hearing March 24-26,
1998 in Hawaii. Information presented at the hearing is available below.
