DAN MOLLER CABIN (AK), TONGASS NF - FS, AK

Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, propane wall furnance for heat and an outside toilet. It does not have mattresses or cooking utensils. Cabin users should bring their own sleeping bags, pads, cook stoves, cooking gear and food. Propane for the wall frunance is provided. The person holding the reservation must be 18 years of age, and must be a member of the party using the cabin. Use of this cabin by a commercial operator, such as an outfitter or guide, is NOT allowed. There are NO discounts for Golden Age or Golden Access Passports for Alaska cabin rentals. All garbage and food must be packed out.

Effective November 17, 2003, reservations for Alaska cabins will be subject to a new policy allowing only one change per reservation. A change in reservation is defined as a modification to the start or end date of the reservation. After one change has been made, if additional changes are desired, the customer must cancel the reservation and at a later time, re-book the new dates. This policy has been established to assure that reservations for cabins are fair and equitable for everyone.

You may reserve this cabin on the day of arrival, or up to 180 days in advance. This cabin is open to public use daily from 10am to 5pm. Reservations are restricted to a maximum of 2 consecutive nights per stay. Occasionally poor weather can result in extended stays, and cabin users should be prepared for this. All garbage and food must be packed out.

Located three and one-half miles southwest of Juneau on Douglas Island. Access by 3 mile trail on Pioneer Street off Cordova Street, and at the end of Jackson St. above Blueberry Hills subdivision in West Juneau.
