NTSB LAUNCHES A TEAM TO INVESTIGATE CRASH OF BEECH 1900 AIRCRAFT
AT CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA
The National Transportation Safety Board today launched a Go-Team to investigate the crash of a Beech 1900 aircraft in Charlotte, North Carolina.
At approximately 8:50 a.m. Eastern Standard Time today a Beech 1900D, (N233YV) aircraft crashed on take-off at Charlotte/Douglas airport in Charlotte, North Carolina. Nineteen passengers and 2 crew members were on board.
Investigator-In-Charge Lorenda Ward will lead the Go-Team. Board Member John Goglia will be the principal spokesperson on scene. Keith Holloway and Paul Schlamm will be the Public Affairs Officers on-scene. Safety Board personnel will also be on-scene to assist family members. The team is scheduled to depart from Hangar 6 at Washington National Airport at 12:30 p.m. EST.
