Water Safety Notice!

Please ensure that your loved ones are wearing the right size life jacket when they are boating or playing on or near the water.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wants you to have a pleasant recreational experience. Many people drown on the nation's waterways each year and, in most cases, victims were not wearing a life jacket, the one tool that could have helped them survive when they entered the water. Please ensure that your loved ones are wearing the right size life jacket when they are boating or playing on or near the water. The Chief of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers needs your help as we try to reduce the number of public fatalities on our nation's waterways. Only YOU can help us do that!

ALPINE RIDGE (AR), DEGRAY LAKE, AR

Description:

At the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains on DeGray Lake, Alpine Ridge offers the most modern facilities in the area. DeGray Lake encompasses 31,800 land and water acres with 13,500 water acres and 207 miles of shoreline. DeGray Lake is stocked with a variety of game fish and is a world class hybrid striped bass fishery. Alpine Ridge offers 49 Class A campsites with electrical hookups. Other amenities include flush toilets, heated showers, water, boat ramp, trailer dump station, picnic sites, swimming beach, registration booth and playground.

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holidays. Alpine Ridge is open year round. Camping fees are $10 and $16 per night from 1 March through 31 October, and $10 per night 1 November through 28 February. This campground requires you to reserve 3 days in advance, and you must reserve 2 nights on weekends and 3 nights on holiday weekends. For more information call 870-246-5501. From Interstate 30, take Exit 73. Take State Hwy 8 W 19 miles to Alpine. Turn right onto Fendley Road. Go 8.5 miles to Alpine Ridge.
