SAFECOM Recommendations on a Funding Strategy for the State of Nevada recognizes the complexity of securing funding and importance of collaboration across agencies, disciplines, industry, and policy makers. It provides a set of suggested recommendations for how the State of Nevada should develop a strategy to fund interoperable communications, a strategic approach to secure consistent and stable funding for communications interoperability efforts in Nevada and some examples of localities and states that successfully used the potential funding mechanisms identified in SAFECOM’s research.
