Employee Recognition

The NTSB Incentive Awards Program is designed to improve NTSB operations by motivating and rewarding employee excellence in the work force. Timely recognition of outstanding performance and achievement is an essential management responsibility critical to stimulating and sustaining high levels of proficiency and productivity.  In program or operational areas under their supervision, managers are encouraged to identify superior work performance that warrants special recognition.  Incentive awards may be granted in recognition of contributions that are significant and exceed the level of achievement normally expected of those occupying their positions or performing certain assignments.
 
The NTSB has many ways of recognizing its outstanding performers. We have an Annual Awards Program where honorary awards such as the Chairman’s Award and the Managing Director’s Award are presented.  We also have various monetary awards, such as performance awards, special act awards, spot awards, and time off awards.
