NTSB JUNE 26 BOARD MEETING: MICHIGAN HAZMAT FIRE, BURBANK RUNWAY OVERRUN, & DCA GROUND CREW FATALITY


The National Transportation Safety Board holds a public Board meeting Wednesday, June 26 at 1:00 p.m., at its Board Room and Conference Center, 426 L’Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, D.C.

There are three items on the agenda:

  1. July 14, 2001, hazardous materials release at the ATOFINA plant in Riverview, Michigan, which killed 3 employees. NTSB Media Contact: Ted Lopatkiewicz

  2. March 5, 2000, runway overrun accident involving a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-300 (N668SW) upon landing at Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport in Burbank, California. Two passengers received serious injuries. NTSB Media Contact: Keith Holloway

  3. August 5, 2001, fatality involving a ground crewmember who was struck by a propeller at Reagan Washington National Airport. NTSB Media Contact: Paul Schlamm
