Stroke and Hispanic Americans

Hispanic American adults have relatively less risk of suffering from a stroke as their non-Hispanic white adult counterparts.  They are less likely to die from a stroke and they have lower rates of hypertension and high cholesterol as non-Hispanic white adults.  Mexican American women are 30% more likely to be obese as non-Hispanic white women, but they are less likely to be current smokers.
