The Purpose of these animations are to assist in describing the Convair 580 fuel system operation in crossfeed mode. These animations are 30 seconds long and run in a loop.

 

Overview:
Crossfeed valves operate together.
Left and Right Fuel Tank Shutoff Valves (FTSV) operate independently.
Left and Right Fuel Booster Pumps operate independently.

1.Crossfeed Valves – CLOSED

2. Both FTSV – OPEN

3. Both Fuel Pumps – ON

4. Left and Right fuel tanks feed their respective engines (L to L, R to R)
