In general, American Indians/Alaska Native adults are 60% more likely to have a stroke than their White adult counterparts. American Indian/Alaska Native women have twice the rate of stroke than White women. American Indian/Alaska Native adults are more likely to be obese than White adults and they are more likely to have high blood pressure, as compared to White adults.
