Temple University School of Medicine is seeking to fill the position of Chair of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

Temple University School of Medicine is seeking to fill the position of Chair of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The Chair will have a broad range of responsibilities that include both the clinical and basic science aspects of the department and must be committed to the ongoing clinical excellence and teaching, with a focus on building funded research and investigative collaborations. A strong history of continuous research funding and current NIH support will be essential. The Chair reports directly to the Dean of the College of Medicine and works closely with the Hospital Administration for clinical responsibilities in the Temple University Health System.

Candidates for the position should be Board Certified in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology; have a record of academic leadership; a record of scholarship and research qualifying for the rank of Professor; ongoing extramural research funding; strong leadership skills and the ability to articulate and implement a vision for a strong academic department.
