Tools that are available from this page include Plugins, Viewers, Other Tools, and access to the latest version of two Web browsers.

When you access a file on NRC's Web site that is followed by one of the Plugin or Viewer icons, you may need to download a tool to view or use the file. Next to each icon in the table is the name and purpose of the tool represented by the icon.

The vendor for each tool allows Web users to download the tool free of charge. Select the name of the tool you wish to download in order to reach the vendor's instruction page. Follow their instructions for downloading.

The links within the table on this page will take you away from the NRC Web site to another Web site. In most cases, you can return to the NRC site by using the back button on your browser's tool bar. If you repeatedly use the NRC page you are exiting, you may want to bookmark the page before you exit.

The Federal Relay Service (FRS,  External link disclaimer. ) is a federal government service, which enables federal employees who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf/blind, or have speech disabilities equal communication access. Using FRS, federal employees may conduct official duties. The FRS also allows the general public to conduct business with the federal government and its agencies. Calls are relayed using specially trained Communications Assistants (CA). The CA simply acts as a transparent conduit for the transmittal of information. The FRS is accessible domestically (50 states as well as Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and the District of Columbia) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (including federal holidays). There are no restrictions on the number, length, or type of calls.
