Comments: This is in regard to Docket # 2005P-0411.
I am not in agreement that my access to bioidentical or natural hormones should be limited because of Wyeth's claims. I have been on bioidentical hormones for about two years now and wouldn't have it any other way. The pharmacy I work with has been very conscientious regarding amounts, frequency and kinds of hormones I am currently taking to balance my chemical makeup while going through menopause. I have not experienced negative side effects while being on the hormones. If side effects and long-term effects can be minimalized by being on bioidentical hormones that are compatible with my chemical makeup, then I am all for them. I don't believe Wyeth should have an advantage over compounding pharmacies when it comes to hormonal treatment, especially because I personally think bioidentical hormones are overall healthier for women than the synthetic hormones Wyeth promotes. Thank You for your time. -Carol Newell | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
