Please do not stop access to bio-identical hormones as Wyeth is encouraging. I
am a woman who has Lichen Sclerosis (LS). Many LS sufferers that I am in contact with use compounded testosterone and Estrace cream as well as the steriod Clobetasol. And, many of them have healed as a result of using bio-identical hormones. I have always wondered why they had to use horse hormones when we have Humulin Insulin. Tell Wyeth and other big pharmaceutical companies to try making natural hormones for women! I am not against new drug development. It is very important. However, I am also a DES daughter -- a drug that was VERY inappropriately PUSHED by Eli Lilly and other big pharmaceuticals to the deteriment of my generation, my mom's generation, and, likely, my kid's generation. To say I do not trust the big pharmaceuticals would be an understatement. I believe Wyeth, Ell Lilly and others are out SOLEY to protect their bottom line. Please let the US consumers decide what is best -- not these big companies! There is no reason why these compounds and compounding should be banned, except to protect a patented product from competition. Very unAmerican. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
