 Unlike Premarin and Prempro which are synthetic drugs, and which are standard drugs which only come in modefied dosages, Biologically Identical HRT compounds are made individually, with each doctor customizing the exact type and dosage of hormones to meet each pateints unique needs.   I have been taking HRT for over 3 years now and they control my hot flashes much better than Premarin did, which I took for over 12 years.  This effort by Wyeth is clearly and effort to try to counter their plummeting sales of Premarin and Prempro, at the expense of HRT.
