I find these charges that Bio-identical harmones are endangering public health, to be erroneous and led by an industry more interested in profit than public health, especially women's. For years women have been used as test subjects without our approval and knowledge to test the synthetic components of HRT. The results have been disasterious. I am one of the guiena pigs whose life has changed because of the harmful chemicals of Premarin. My doctor told me how much better I would feel, that it would protect my heart and all the garbage sales representatives expel to ignorant doctors. I was depressed!
I felt badly all the time. And after discontinue the use of the synthetic harmomes made by Weyth, I discovered I had uterine cancer as well as heart disease.
In recent months I have found Bio-identicle harmones, prescibed by a board certified OB-GYN, to be a Godsend to my physical as well as my mental well being. Even my oncology-GYN approves of my use of Bio-identicle harmones!
They have helped me with a number of health issues which are usually not associated with HRT. Thanks be to the compound pharmacist!!

To remove the avaiability of bio-identicle harmones would be a true injustice to all women who seek HRT that is natural and beneficial. I urge many of my friend to try them as I have had such great relief from the effects of a hysterectomy and aging. My " hot flashes" are gone; I sleep better; my bone density is better than a 21 year old female's; bladder retention has improved; cholesterol is going down and HDL is going up; so many improvements in how I feel-I can't comprehend not having these compounds available!

Too bad if Wyeth and other pharmaceutical companies aren't making enough money. They need to be dealt with the same as the smoking industry which hid research conclusions for years in order to make a buck. They have no one but their own interest, certainly not women's, in this action.

Sincerely,
