Camp Counselor Information Sought

November 5, 2008 - The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO), a participating agency in the Northwest RCFL (NWRCFL) is asking the public for information about Aaron Leonard Munter of Aloha, Oregon, who allegedly showed pictures of child pornography to youngsters at a Salem computer camp where he worked as a counselor. Authorities located images of child pornography on Munter’s computer and after searching his home, found additional computers and submitted them to the NWRCFL for examination. Child pornography is considered contraband – just having it one’s possession could lead to criminal charges.

Because Munter interacted with children as a camp counselor, investigators are concerned other victims may exist, and are encouraging them to come forward. Anyone who suspects their child, or a child they know, may have been a victim, should call the WCSO at 503-846-2700 or the Salem Police Department at 503-588-6123.
