To Whom It May Concern,
The FDA has issued new guidelines for the pharmaceutical industry regarding the use of various types of cell lines that are being used and will be used in the future for the manufacture of vaccines. These cell lines include several ethical sources as well as ABORTED FETAL CELL LINES. This does not mark the advancement of civilization or progress of science rather the deterioriation of both. The ends cannot justify the means--or any and all means eventually become justifiable. From public policy and legal standpoints, abortion laws are problematic, at best. Why base pharmaceutical guidelines on a 'house of cards?' Please abandon this line of reasoning. It seems clear that it is not in the best interest of a nation interested in reducing the number of abortions which leave the women who have had them more vulnerable to mental health problems and according to many studies more likely to fall prey to breast cancer. Such policies are not in the best interest of the public. Sincerely, Elsa Roe Hoffmann | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
