Buffalo is home to one of the FBI's 14 Regional Computer Forensics Labs, or RCFLs. It's here local, state and federal examiners team up to break down computers, cell phones, and iPods in search of evidence from a crime.

Just as forensic investigators comb a crime scene for blood and fibers, digital forensic examiners need clues to crack their cases. This comes in the form of computer files, cell phone records, even MP3 downloads.

Technology is constantly changing, and the RCFL has to stay on top of the advances. The newest techno-gadgets that may top our wish lists are on the FBI's list as well.
