A Georgia man who picked up his 15-year-old Internet girlfriend from the Dayton Mall and had sex with her in a Tennessee motel has been sentenced to six years and six months in prison.

Following his release, Keith Alan Hanshaw will be ordered to register with the proper state sex offender agency and will not be allowed to own or use a computer, according to the sentence U.S. District Court Judge Walter H. Rice ordered Monday.

Hanshaw, of Fort Oglethorpe, was 43 when he was arrested. He pleaded guilty in October to transporting a minor for criminal sexual purposes.

Hanshaw and his victim apparently met online. Sometime after her mother reported her missing June 12, police gave the girl's computer to the Miami Valley Regional Computer Forensics Lab, according to an FBI affidavit. Technicians found e-mails from Hanshaw that indicated he planned to meet her.

Four days after they met at the mall, FBI agents found them at a motel in Chattanooga, Tenn.
