From advising on
federal courthouse design to creating a new case management software
product to preparing a report for Congress, jobs at the Administrative
Office offer a variety of interesting tasks with national impact.
We support the courts in the areas of court administration and management,
legal analysis, accounting and budget, information technology, human
resources, space and facilities management, and other business functions.
What are your career
aspirations? Maybe you would like to be involved in
- assisting a court manager in turning space
requirements into design specifications;
- performing unit, integration, and regression
testing of newly developed software;
- preparing a report to Congress on authorized
wiretaps;
- briefing foreign judges, parliamentarians,
and other visiting officials on federal court management and
operation;
- advising federal probation officers on home
confinement practices or mental health treatment services for
offenders;
- creating a new insurance program or benefit
for employees;
- developing national training conferences for
federal public defenders;
- conducting on-site visits and interviewing
judges and court staff to review management practices and procedures;
- making travel and facility arrangement for
national meetings and conferences;
- managing investment of funds in the Judicial
Survivor's Annuities Fund;
- preparing national financial plans for Judiciary
appropriations; or
- developing and analyzing new legislation and
determining its impact on federal court operations.
