Please reject Wyeth's petition to limit the ability of pharmacists to compound bio-identical hormones. I had a hysterectomy at age 41, and it is extremely important to my continued good health to have as wide a range of options for hormone replacement therapy as possible. I will not take Prempo or Premarin or any synthetic estrogen because of the risks and side effects. Should bio-identical hormones become unavailable to me, I will choose to take herbal supplements, which are largely unregulated and vary widely in strength and quality, rather than take synthetic estrogen. Please do not force me and many others like me into that untenable and medically risky position.
Thank you for your consideration. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
