I'm not sure what "flagrant violations of the law" are, but I want to comment that I have been using bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for several years, compounded by two excellent pharmacies in Colorado Springs (College Pharmacy and MedicineShoppe). I tried Premarin years ago and had a lot of side effects. Once I got my dosage regulated with the bioidentical hormones, I've been feeling great and would not like to see these hormones taken off the market.

Maybe there are some violations that need to be acted upon, but I hope this does not mean that bio-identical hormones will not be available anymore.

I heard that Wyeth (maker of Premarin) had something to do with this action. If so, isn't this conflict of interest?? Yes, Premarin WAS the most prescribed drug in the country, but studies showed that it is not safe for many women. My feeling is that PREMARIN endangers public health, not bio-identical compounded hormones.

Please do not close down these pharmacies...we need these safe alternatives!!
