Ladies and Gentlemen,

It has come to my attention that certain of the large pharmaceutical companies are urging passage of legislation banning bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

I have taken hormone replacement therapy in the past that was generically produced, offered by the large drug companies. It was eventually determined that these synthetic hormones were causing problems with my thyroid. Since beginning treatment with the bio-identical hormones, not only do I not have difficulty with balancing of my hormonal levels, my thyroid problem is beginning to correct itself and I have been able to decrease my thyroid medication.

Allowing bio-identical HRT medications helps people like myself. The only entities negatively impacted by bio-identical HRT are the large pharmaceutical companies, because their products do not work as well, and these present serious competition to them. By eliminating their competition, it gives them greater market share.

I would urge you to vote against any legislation to ban bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Thank you for your consideration of this issue.

Sincerely,

Kathryn A. Keeler
