 I have been in menopause for 16 years.  The first 6 were awful, my quality of life was very limiting(little sleep because of intense hot flashes, anxiety, bleeding and pain during intercourse because of vagininal dryness and thinning of the skin).  I finally got on bioidentical hormones and this has improved my quality of life immensely.
