Yes, of course Pharaceutical Companies want to ban bioidenticals because they cannot PATENT them and thus make money off of patients. The only thing patentable is the delivery systems because naturally occuring substances cannot be patented. Pharmacy began as a compounding discipline. I am an RN and also a consumer of bioidentical hormone replacement for menopausal symptoms. During perimenopause, I found topical bioidentical progresterone essential for maintaining balanced mood and now in addition to that I am successfully controlling hot flashes, night sweat, sleeplessness due to low estrogen with bioidentical tri-est. All of my bioidenticals are prescribed and monitored by an board certified MD. There is no reason, EXCEPT FINANCIAL MOTIVATION ON THE PART OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES, to deny women and men bioidentical replacement.
Please do not let the greed and profit motive of pharmaceutical companies jeopardize the health and welfare of so many women (and men.) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
