GENERAL
I am a 59-year old woman who has been using bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for approximately two years. My physician at Kaiser Permanente Hospital writes my prescriptions to be filled by a compounding pharmacy and if there were any danger to my health, she would so advise me. I am absolutely opposed to Wyeth Pharmacies restricting the availability of these safe and effective hormones. Women want bio- identical hormones because they are formulated to fit the unique hormonal needs of each person and they are believed to be better utilized by the body since they are "bio-identical", not synthetic. This suit appears to by Wyeth's way of "eliminating the competition" and I trust the FDA will deny their suit forthwith.
