I and many of my friends have used bio identical hormones as directed by my physician. They were extremely helpful in dealing with night sweats, hot flashes, anxiety & sleep loss associated with menopause. After looking at the Pepi study where bio-identical progesterone was used in 1 leg, with very different results from the Provera leg, I was certain that I wouldn't choose to use any of the synthetic progestins & their established risk.
