It has been brought to my attention that there is a chance our right to choose safe, effective and natural, bio-identical hormones may be taken away from us. There are studies available concluding women low in natural progesterone have an 80% higher risk of developing breast cancer and that the risk of developing other malignant cancers increases ten-fold. The petition that would take this right away from women is based completely on greed. There are studies showing Wyeth's product cause increases in breast cancer and blood clots, heart attacks and strokes. Wyeth has seen drop in the sales of their products since women are choosing a healthier, safer choice and wants to cut out this competition.
I hope that the health of millions of women in this country will not be compromised and that those making decisions about Wyeth's petition will not be swayed by those that enjoy the hundreds of thousands of dollars of user fee money payed by pharmaceutical companies to them. I sincerely hope that my government leaders can and will make a decision on this based on hard core research and not simply on greed. Please, do the right thing and give women the right to choose a healthy bio-identical hormone for themselves. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
