GENERAL
I urge the FDA to do everything in its power to support the availability of Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Switching from Premarin to bio-identical estrogen, on the recommendation of my physician, has dramatically improved the balance of my hormones. In particular, my human growth hormones were severely depressed while taking Premarin. After 18 months using bio-identical estrogen, my growth hormones are at a normal level and I have been able to add about 10 pounds of much-needed muscle while following the same exercise regime as before the change in HRT. No longer having access to bio-identical estrogen would be a hardship and a severe setback to my health and well-being.

I believe the pharmacy that compounds my hormones is reliable and safe. No doubt my doctor believes so too, as he referred me to them. Obviously Wyeth has a commercial interest in eliminating competition from healthier, and cheaper, bio-identical hormones. Please discount Wyeth's self-interested claims, which do not represent or promote the health and interests of American women.

Thank you,
Carolyn Bell
