I kindly ask the FDA to issue guidelines to pharmaceutical companies which will restrict their use of stem cell lines from aborted fetuses. There are non-objectionable cell lines that can be used in vaccines. Even if there were not, I could not and would not approve of the use of stem cell lines from aborted fetuses. Receiving medicine from an aborted fetus would be morally and ethically wrong. I would have major spiritual and mental issues with this practice. This practice is clearly over the top and needs to be stopped. I beg you to NOT use stem cell lines from aborted fetuses. If the FDA approves this, guidelines should clearly state that 'this medicine was manufactured using stem cell lines from aborted fetuses.' This is an horrific practice and must NOT be allowed. Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion.
Sincerely, Florence M. Parent | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
