GENERAL
I have used Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement for approximately a year and a half. In researching my options as I began to experience peri- menopause sysmptons, I chose the bio-identical 'natural' hormone replacement route because of the process of testing what one is lacking and providing a compounded cream containing bio-identical natural hormones and only the level of those hormones I was lacking. Synthetic hormones are just that and may contain amounts of hormones(syntetic)that are too much or too little for my needs.

I play a major role in my health care decisions. It was somewhat difficult to locate a medical professional that specializes in the treatment of menopause with bio-identical hormone replacement, but I have and I continue to use them and have menopause symptoms under control naturally. I am a 52 year old woman with an eight year old son and I plan to be around to see him grow up. I would use nothing before I would take a synthetic hormone made of equine urine that has been proven to be very dangerous to women's health. Either way, Wyeth Pharmaceutical will not get my money, but that should be my choice.
