| I was really shocked last year to find out that I was going to need to take a thyroid supplement daily for the rest of my life. I felt I was too young, at fifty-one, for such a drastic step--and, to make matters worse, I discovered I was going to need a diuretic to counter calcium depletion and also a supplement for achy, stiff joints. It has been wonderful to discover that, at least for my thyroid concerns, a natural, bio-identical replacement is available. I chose my treating endocrinologist based on whether she would allow the bio-identical replacement.
