I STRONGLY oppose the request of Wyeth, the maker of Premarin and Prempro, that the FDA effectively prohibit compounding pharmacies from providing bio-identical hormones to their patients. I am appalled at the apparent power that this drug company believes it has to contain what has been effectively a monopoly. The sale of the synthetic hormones has been a mass experiment on American women for which Wyeth has profited significantly and this action is further evidence of Wyeth's guilt should there be a class action brought against them in the future. I was only taking Premarin for one year, but during that year my health declined rapidly. I was unaware that there were other bio-identical hormones available - that is how strong Wyeth's marketing efforts with physicians is. Please stop them and keep America free!
