Contracting
with Prescription Drug Plans
To
participate in the Medicare Prescription Drug program,
a provider must contract with one or more Prescription
Drug Plans (PDPs). Patients
enrolled in both Medicaid and Medicare ("dual
eligibles") are no longer covered for prescriptions
under Medicaid and pharmacies are no longer reimbursed
by State Medicaid programs for prescriptions provided
to dual eligible patients.
