2008 CAP Physician Data
Information about 2008 CAP physician demographics and frequently ordered CAP drugs has been posted in the 'Downloads' section. CAP Bidding 2009-2011 CMS conducted the second round of bidding for three-year Approved CAP Vendor contracts for the CAP in 2008. Copies of the 2009-2011 bidding documents may be obtained below in the 'Downloads' section. On January 10, 2008, CMS hosted a Special Open Door Forum for the CAP. Representatives from CMS and the CAP designated carrier presented information and answered questions about the CAP and the bidding process to entities interested in bidding to be an approved CAP vendor. On September 10, 2008, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the postponement of the 2009 CAP. CAP Bidding 2006-2008 CMS conducted the first round of bidding for three-year Approved CAP Vendor contracts for the CAP in late 2005. Copies of the 2006-2008 bidding documents may be obtained below in the 'Downloads' section. A Special Open Door Forum on CAP vendor bidding for potential CAP vendors was held on Thursday, December 1, 2005 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM EST. The purpose of this Open Door Forum was to provide an opportunity for these potential vendors to ask questions about the bidding process and the policies in the final rule related to the role of the CAP vendor. BioScrip, Inc. was selected as the Approved CAP Vendor for the Competitive Acquisition Program for 2006-2008.
