National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA) Organizations

The National Council of Asian Pacific Americans, founded in 1996, is a coalition of twenty-one Asian Pacific American organizations nation wide. Based in Washington D.C, NCAPA serves to represent the interests of the greater AAPI community and to provide a national voice for AAPI issues.

Founded in 2000, South Asian American Leaders of Tomorrow (SAALT) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the full and equal participation by South Asians in the civic and political life of the United States.

The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) is a national advocacy organization dedicated to promoting policy, program, and research efforts to improve the health and well-being of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and and other Pacific Islander (AA,NHOPI) communities.

Asian American Institute

The Asian American Institute was established in 1992 as a pan-Asian not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. Its mission is to empower the Asian American community through advocacy, utilizing research, education, and coalition building.

Asian American Justice Center

The Asian American Justice Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, was incorporated in 1991 and opened its Washington, D.C. office in 1993. AAJC works to advance the human and civil rights of Asian Americans through advocacy, public policy, public education, and litigation.

Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, AFL-CIO

Founded in 1992, the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, AFL-CIO, is the first and only national organization of Asian Pacific American union members. It organizes and works with Asian Pacific American workers, many of them immigrants, to build the labor movement and address exploitative conditions in the garment, electronics, hotel and restaurant, food processing, and health care industries.

Asian Pacific Partners for Empowerment and Leadership

Asian Pacific Partners for Empowerment, Advocacy and Leadership (APPEAL) is a national network of organizations and individuals working towards social justice and a tobacco-free Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.

Chinese American Citizens Alliance

The Chinese American Citizens Alliance (CACA.) was founded to promote citizenship, to better the Chinese community and to combat anti-Chinese sentiment. A non-partisan, non-profit organization, the CACA continues to champion civil and immigrant rights and the community's welfare while providing a rich program of activities for its members, their families, and friends.

Indian American Center for Political Awareness

Indian American Center for Political Awareness's mission is to increase awareness in the Indian American community and encourage participation by the Indian American community in the American democracy.

Korean American Coalition

KAC was founded in 1983 in Los Angeles, California, as a nonprofit service, education, and advocacy organiza tion that facilitates the Korean American community's participation in civic, legislative, and community affairs.

LEAP’s mission is to achieve full participation and equality for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders through leadership, empowerment, and policy.

National Alliance of Vietnamese American Service Agencies

The mission of NAVASA is to empower the Vietnamese community in the United States and facilitate the transition of Vietnamese refugees and immigrants from dependency to self-sufficiency.

National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Association

The mission of NAAPIHMA is to promote the mental health and well being of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. NAAPIMHA advocates on behalf of AAPI mental health issues as well as serves as a forum for effective collaboration and networking between stakeholders of community based organizations, consumers, family members, service providers, program developers, researchers, evaluators and policy makers representing the various ethnic and regional differences.

National Asian Pacific American Bar Association

The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) is the national association of Asian Pacific American (APA) attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students, providing a national network for its members and affiliates. NAPABA advocates for the legal needs and interests of the APA community and represents the interests of over 40,000 attorneys and 47 local APA bar associations, with practice settings ranging from solo practices to large firms, corporations, legal services organizations, non-profit organizations, law schools, and governmental agencies.

National Asian Pacific Center on Aging

The National Asian Pacific Center on Aging's mission is to serve as the leading national advocacy organization committed to the dignity, well-being and quality of life of Asian Pacific Americans (APA) in their senior years.

National Association for the Education and Advancement of Cambodian, Laotian, and Vietnamese Americans

NAFEA is a non-profit organization, serving professionals who are Southeast Asians and those who work with the Southeast Asian community in the fields of education, social services and community development. NAFEA’s mission is to promote and support the advancement of Cambodian, Laotian, and Vietnamese Americans through education, networking, and cross-cultural exchange.

National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development

National CAPACD is the first national advocacy organization dedicated to addressing the community development, organizing and advocacy needs of the diverse and rapidly growing Asian American and Pacific Islander communities nationwide.

National Federation of Filipino American Association

The National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) is recognized by Washington policy-makers, private industry and national advocacy groups as the Voice of Filipinos and Filipino Americans throughout the United States. It is a non-partisan, non-profit national affiliation of more than five hundred Filipino-American institutions and umbrella organizations. Its twelve regions cover the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and the Marianas.

National Korean American Service & Education Consortium

The National Korean American Service & Education Consortium (NAKASEC) was founded as a consortium in 1994 by local community centers that realized that only by coming together can we build and contribute to a national movement for civil rights. They are the Korean Resource Center in Los Angeles, the Korean American Resource & Cultural Center in Chicago and YKASEC – Empowering the Korean American Community in New York.

Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund

SALDEF is dedicated to the accurate representation of Sikhs and Sikhism in American Society and media; combating bigotry and prejudice; protecting the rights and freedom of Sikhs in America; and providing resources to empower the community by helping it understand and exercise its civil, political, economical, social, and cultural rights.

Sikh Coalition

The Sikh Coalition is a community-based organization that defends civil rights and civil liberties in the United States, educates the broader community about Sikhs and diversity, promotes local community empowerment, and fosters civic engagement amongst Sikh Americans. The Coalition serves as a resource for all organizations and individuals as well as a point of contact for Sikh people.
