Charlie Wilson Sworn into 111th Congress | Print | Washington, D.C. – Congressman Charlie Wilson (D-OH) vowed to do what it takes to get the economy back on track as he took the oath of office this afternoon. Rep. Wilson, who represents Ohio’s Sixth Congressional District, was sworn into the 111th Congress on Tuesday afternoon, January 6 by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. “America has faced worse crises before and come out of it better. We’ve been able to turn challenging times into opportunities for the future. I believe that right now, the risk of doing too little is much greater than the threat of doing too much,” Wilson said. “The risk in going too slow is that America gets in worse shape and more people suffer. I think right now, we need to step forward to provide the opportunities and solutions to our problems and get the country turned around. There’s no timetable for this; it’s unprecedented. It’s time to move forward,” Wilson added. Rep. Wilson will serve on the House Financial Services Committee and the House Science and Technology Committee.
