As you know, several area communities were hit hard by last week’s ice storm. On Saturday, the President issued a disaster declaration for the affected areas, making them eligible for federal assistance. I have been in touch with regional officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), who have been updating me on the progress of the recovery. All levels of government must be involved in this effort, and I will continue to press federal officials to do everything within their power to assist our community. I also wanted to make sure you were aware of the appropriate (non-emergency) contacts to best assist you with particular concerns. Those contacts are listed below.
