Voluntary Children's Chemical Evaluation Program (VCCEP) - The Voluntary Children's Chemical Evaluation Program (VCCEP) was called for by the 1998 Chemical Right to Know Initiative, the goal of which was to give citizens information on the effects of chemicals to enable them to make wise choices in the home and marketplace. VCCEP is the portion of that initiative that deals with risks to children.

EPA's Toxic Release Inventory Program - The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) is a publicly available EPA database that contains information on toxic chemical releases and other waste management activities reported annually by certain covered industry groups as well as federal facilities.

EPA's Persistent, Bioaccumulative, and Toxic (PBT) Chemical Program - The Persistent, Bioaccumulative, and Toxic (PBT) Chemical Program is designed to reduce risks from and exposures to priority PBT chemicals through increased coordination among EPA national and regional programs.

Chemical Testing and Information Gathering - The Chemical Test and Information Gathering Web site provides information on EPA regulatory activities under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) to gather health/safety and exposure information on chemicals, to require chemical testing, and to control exposure to chemical substances and mixtures.

EPA's Chemical Emergency Preparedness and Prevention Site - The Chemical Emergency Preparedness and Prevention Web site provides information on EPA activities to respond to and prevent chemical accidents. The site also provides resources for the public to learn more about chemicals stored or released in their community.

EPA's Inventory Update Reporting - The Inventory Update Reporting (IUR) Web site contains information on chemicals manufactured (including imported) in the United States and that are listed on the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Chemical Substance Inventory. The Inventory contains information on the identity of the chemicals, the amounts manufactured or processed, certain details about their manufacture, and other related data.

International and Other HPV Chemical Programs

eChemPortal - The eChemPortal offers free public access to a large amount of information on the properties of chemicals. The portal allows for a simultaneous search of multiple databases that contain data submitted to government chemical programs at the national, regional, and international level.

International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) HPV Chemicals Initiative - The ICCA HPV Chemicals Initiative is designed to collect internationally agreed upon data and initial hazard assessments for approximately 1000 HPV chemicals. The chemicals selected for this initiative represent more than 90% of global chemical production.

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Chemicals Safety Program - The OECD Chemicals Safety Program works on the development and co-ordination of environmental health and safety activities for chemicals internationally, including HPV chemicals.

American Chemistry Council's Extended HPV Initiative - The Extended HPV (EHPV) Initiative is a joint program developed by the American Chemistry Council (ACC), in cooperation with The Soap and Detergents Association (SDA) and Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association (SOCMA), to extend industry's work on high production volume (HPV) chemicals. The EHPV Program seeks to publish health and environmental information on 574 newly designated HPV chemicals, and increases the breadth of safety information made publicly available for all HPV substances.
